- Identify which stage most appropriately describes your position in your thinking as a person interested in technology and educational outcomes.
The
stage on the Technology Integrating Chart that I feel most
appropriately describes my position in my thinking as a person
interested in technology and educational outcomes is the Active
Infusion.
- Explain
why you identify yourself at that position and give specific
examples that support your selection. Your response should be a
minimum of three-to-five paragraphs in order to adequately address
the prompt.
The
term active on the chart is described as “The
Active attribute makes the distinction between lessons in which
students passively receive information and lessons in which students
discover, process, and apply their learning. Student engagement is a
key component of active learning.
“(Florida Center for Instructional Technology, 2014). Likewise,
Infusion is described as “ Students
understand how to use many types
of technology tools,
are able to select tools for specific purposes, and use them
regularly.
“(2014)
I
feel I fit both parts of this description as a student. I use my
computer dauly to actively receive and process new information, do
research for class projects, and for personal purposes. I know how
to use multiple types of technology to get the job done for a
project/assignment, and am constantly learning how to use dnew types
of technology.
